Colostrum is important to the health of the foal. The foal should have colostrum within the first 3 hours after birth, continuing for another 3 days. Use the following schedule for a 45-50 kg (100-110 lb) foal. Smaller foals should be fed reduced amounts.
Mix Hoffman’s Foal milk replacer with warm water, 38°C (100°F), and feed according to the following schedule.

*A creep foal ration should be started in the third week, top dressed with dry Hoffman’s Foal Milk Replacer. Continue feeding Hoffman’s Foal Milk Replacer after weaning at the rate of 680 g to 910 g per day until about 12 weeks of age. Keep fresh, clean water before foals at all times
